      Configuring Botdoc SMTP on Konica Minolta Bizhub C458

      This guide explains how to configure a Konica Minolta Bizhub C458 MFP to send emails securely using Botdoc SMTP.

      Depending on your firmware or software version, the interface may differ slightly — both setups below follow the same configuration steps

      Prerequisites

      • Access to the printer’s Web Connection Interface (via IP address)

      • Administrator credentials

      • Botdoc SMTP username and password (provided by Botdoc support)

      Step 1: Configure Machine Information

      This step defines the sender information and ensures the device identifies itself properly when sending emails.

      1. Log in to the Web Connection Interface as Administrator.

      2. Navigate to:

        • Maintenance → Machine Settings (Old UI)

        • System Settings → Machine Settings (New UI)

         

      3. Enter your Botdoc email address in both Administrator E-mail Address and E-mail Address fields.

      4. Click OK to save.

      Now configure the email (SMTP) settings so the machine can communicate with the Botdoc SMTP server.

      1. Go to:

        Network → E-mail TX (SMTP)

        (Under User Auth/Account Track or Network Settings depending on your firmware.)

      2. Set the following:

      The Konica Minolta Bizhub does not provide a test button in the web interface.

      To verify the configuration:

      1. Go to the device panel or connect via remote access.

      2. Use the Scan to Email function.

      3. Send a test email to confirm successful delivery.

      Your Konica Minolta Bizhub C458 is now configured to send scanned documents securely through Botdoc SMTP with TLS enabled and relaxed certificate verification for compatibility.
