MFP Integration - What You Will Receive

This article will briefly cover what to expect to receive when you use "scan to email" with the Botdoc MFP Integration.

To start, here is the basic look and feel of what you will receive:

Each Multi-Function Printer may have a slightly different default message for its "scan to email" functionality.

When the email is being created and sent on the backend by Botdoc, we append the message to the end of the default message.

Using the example above, the first 3 lines include default messaging configured by the printer, and we add:

"This scan is secured and protected by Botdoc.
Click this link to access your document. {{secure URL}}"

Once the URL is clicked and opened, you will see the files listed available for download:

Depending on the design aspects decided by your team at setup, there will either be default Botdoc branding or branding associated with your team.

Since most companies do various levels of security training to avoid spam or malicious emails, I will add a few points of note so you can feel comfortable opening your container to download your documents.

  1. Each email should be branded similarly to the one above, including the Logo and Company info for Botdoc along the bottom.
  2. The URL to be accessed should be formatted with secure.botdoc.io as shown above (unless there is a Custom Domain used for your team).

When using the Botdoc MFP Integration for "scan to email," you can always reach out to us at support@botdoc.io if you have any questions or concerns.
